Things that drive me crazy as a DDF'er
« on: July 15, 2015, 10:06:06 AM »
So I have this co-worker who isn't as sharp as he thinks, and he has some brother-in-law who is a hard-core DDF type, like several hundred Amex and AU etc., and he posts all the good deals to their family whatsapp chat... so I have to hear my annoying co-worker tell me excitedly, "oh, you know you can spend 13 cents on Newegg and get $10 from Amex? This is so cool!" No. I am not an idiot. As if I haven't just spent the last half a day reading about this and doing this... a prime annoying example of a noob who does no work and just feeds off his BIL... drives me CRAZY!!!!!

watching those aforementioned hard core ddfers try to nickle and dime places and think they are entitled to compensation for every tiny little thing.
"AC in the room took 2 minutes to change from 69 to 68, what kind of compensation can i expect? should i email the hotel manager? should i email spg?"

The redemption shouldn't bother you, the accrual should.

Both do.  I tried giving them just the basics and they didn't seem interested at all.

Some people have better uses of their time and don't want to be bothered with what is a glorified form of couponing.
