Very strange decision from a business standpoint.
I'd think she can accomplish the same thing by unfollowing everyone on her account. And keep it open for business.

This is an extremely popular salon, the Who's Who of town goes to her. Her post of these "Who's Who" sets the local trends for how the rest of town is wearing their sheitels, it sets the standard of what's in and what's yesterday's style.
So yes, she may not waste time if she's not following, but she knows that he r account is the cause of lot's of issue in town.
Second, if the account is open, it takes alot of gevura to not check anything else, even if she's not following them, esp after years of "habit"
The best route is to delete and never open the site
As far as business decision, there's no Q part of the message is that Hashem will provide all biz you're supposed to get, and if you feel that Social media is damaging you / causing damage to others and therefore close it out, you will not lose a cent. if someone is holding by acting on that, it is extremely commendable IMO
