For reference planet earth is 5,489,256,960,000,000 square feet.

So every person gets a bit more than a sq ft to live.

Technically you're right. Every moment we waste on the lottery or other frivolous pursuits that could be utilized to attain חיים נצחיים, we're throwing the real winning lottery ticket away in exchange for a brightly colored empty candy wrapper. One day, we're going to have a lot of regret.
