It's worth mentioning here that you should keep zip ties out of kids' reach.

I wouldn't have thought of them as something dangerous, but if I'm remembering the story correctly, when I lived in Israel there was someone in the neighborhood whose little kid closed one around his neck tight enough that he couldn't breathe properly and that they couldn't safely get scissors in to cut it off. Hatzalah did get it off somehow, but it was quite the scare.

If ch”v need to remove and can’t fit scissor in, cut the locking part (or squeeze with pliers) and should be able to remove. If tight enough, should pop open.
