Just skimmed it very briefly, it seems to be railing against the terrible eyeglasses which are in style now and any kid wearing them cannot come to yeshiva...

Exactly. I saw something in bold about thick dark frames so I had to go read it and see if that's what you couldn't wear or have to wear.

they never claimed that it was. And are they not right bringing a raya from mitzrayim? Just like you understand that they may not et someone in to yeshiva with the name mike or joel (pun intended) they are allowed require dress code. Also once you get started with the glasses it may not be long until their wearing the abercrombie and hollister stuff which you have to admit are jewish oriented styles. And fyi many chasiduses (and I am not including lubavitch for the obvious reason that they are different then the other chassidim) do require everyone to wear the same glasses as well as all other articles of clothing

Lemme ask you a question this is btw completely beside the point but I'll bring it up anyway because it cracks me up. These glasses that are in style now were once the most chassidish skvere glasses, and now they are being banned because they're "in style". If they decide now in paris to start wearing long rekels as the new style will they tell everyone to take it off???
In mitzrayim nobody wore glasses or velvet hats or anything like that! the jewish look has nothing to do with what type of glasses just like it hs nothing to do with how many slices your yarmulka has!
