There is no reason to go all out and make it assur. Just bc u are a good person and wouldn't hang out doesn't mean u should be denied the right to get pizza or other food motzei Shabbos with a good group of girls. Not everyone is bad.

I'm all for exposing/mocking the sanctimonious and draconian misuse of power, but I don't think that this is a case of that at all. I live OOT so I don't have this nisayon, but I can't imagine feeling comfortable with my teenagers (of either genders) hanging out at one of these Saturday night pizza shop scenes.

I didn't but let's go with it. If I'm a high school girl that's a good girl that is interested in meeting good boys. No bad intentions, just normal emotions. What are my choices?  Suppress my feelings and submit to the blind date system or go behind backs and join the bad kid scene?  Is there a healthy outlet for teens of opposite genders to interact? I know countless high school sweethearts that have long, happy marriages.

Not for social and casual purposes. We reserve the intimacy and affection unique to the male-female relationship to marriage. With the increased popularity of these non marital and extra marital relationships, marriage has gone to the tubes. We're trying to keep our divorce rate and (unmarried) teenage  pregnancy rate lower than the secular world.

I live OOT also but I've been in town enuff and seen everything. There is no reason u shud be limited bc of other ppl that might be there. If your a good kid u won't get sucked in and will stick to ur own group, do wat u have to, and have a good time.

And I don't disagree.  But knowing this BY (there are only two girls' schools here and this is kinda the "less" frum but still very frum school, so they have over 100 girls per class from all sides of the spectrum) I've seen the immense amounts of rebellious girls who act out from being suppressed by their school.  And again, is it the school's responsibility to parent outside of school hours to compensate for the few ineffective parents?  This is one of those situations that I can argue either way.

Ik many others that are like that too. If people are suppressed they will end up bursting and fall out much worse than they could be bc that is the only place they can find their outlet. And not everyone is totally mainstream that they mind if their kid goes to a pizza shop so she can actually eat and have a good time with friends.

I am not familiar with the school, but the big issue is when the children of ineffective parents and weak parents bring down the whole class. How much rebellion is due to being suppressed is very debatable.
