To be honest, I was thinking the same thing - felt like it's popped up a million times - so I was curious and checked. Turns out he was right. And total mentions on DDF were not that many more.

I wrote probably for a reason. That typically means that someone is using some level of conjecture, which I was. By guessing how it happened I would not have been telling you your reasoning.

It's a noticeable catchphrase, that's all. If you'd written it out ('it depends how you define frum', etc.) it would be a lot less noticeable.

Why should it be different once it is not derech chiba? I personally would recommend to be machmir but we know that the meikilim exist and that a large potion of legitimately frum yidden follow that opinion.
