for those that will ask, he's basically saying how expensive it is to go to the country. how it's not a vacation at all because of the conditions. (thin mattress, dust, etc). so why is it so expensive? he's paying a thousand to find out about this guys Shulem Bayis, another grand to find out a different family has wild kids, another 1k to find out that this other neighbor cuts his beard, etc...

personally, i never got the whole concept of packing up and going to the country. i will never understand how all those people can afford it. plus camp for the older kids, plus rent on that empty house, plus gas to go up every week, plus groceries that are hella expensive up there...

When the dew point is low, the temperature drops till the dew point in the country at night.

All those are opposites of a bungalow colony. Thats why.
