Probably don't get off the plane so it doesn't have the change plane issue that people normally have with stopovers. As a side note it was cancelled...

Isn't that what direct means? That you don't change planes? Non-stop is something else.

Direct means same plane, same flight number, even if you get off the plane. For example I did OSL-TOS-LYR as a direct flight, but we all had to deplane.

My point was that they're absolutely correct to call it direct, it's not a marketing gimmick. At least based on my limited knowledge of these things.
