אם כך מדוע מי שעושה את שלושת הדברים יחד נחשב שוטה, הרי יש תירוצים? נכון שיש תירוצים, ויכול להיות שהם נכונים, אבל אם נלך במסלול של תירוצים אנחנו
זקוקים לשלושה תירוצים כדי להסביר את התנהגותו, ויש דרך יותר פשוטה, אם נניח שהוא שוטה אזי עם תירוץ אחד יישבנו את שלושת הקושיות,

ואם יש לך אפשרות ליישב שלוש קושיות עם שלוש תירוצים או עם תירוץ אחד שמיישב את שלושתם ברור שהתירוץ הזה הוא הנכון, שלוש חיצים מובילים לכיון אחד.
