There were always rocky songs stolen from the other side. But stealing emotion from them was not rampant, at least not as far as I'm aware of.
When someone was inspired by HASC, they created songs to channel their emotions [Who Am I, Small Piece of Heaven, One Small Candle, Hamalach]. When someone was inspired by Oorah, they made songs to express their feelings[Eternity, an Oorah story, etc.].
