Reminds me of a kosher Chinese restaurant I used to frequent with a group of friends. Once one of the guys didn’t show up and the waitress greeted us and asked “where’s your friend?” while doing the holding-the-gut-with-both-hands-to-mimic-a-heavyset-person motion...

Reminds me of the Haitian Caregiver who I saw on an occasional basis, and after her not seeing me in a year, the first thing she said when I walked into the house was "wow, you got fat!" (Mind you was just 15 more pounds). I don't think she intended it as an insult.

Reminds me of a woman I know who had given birth and gained a few pounds, which, unbeknownst to her, had apparently become a topic of conversation.
