i check each one.
as far as i understand one can make a Chazaka on the bag, but i eat a lot of cashews (and pistachios) (in israel) and i would say that around 1 in 150 looks like this
so its at least gross

Rav Vai (author, Bedikas Hamazon) holds that it is considered miut hamatzui, so you need to eliminate the problem by checking 10% to create a chazaka against it.
Klal Yisroel seems to have embraced him wholeheartedly, though it is worth mentioning that my Rav [Harav Y. Stilerman] doesn't consider it a miut hamatzui in the first place (after conversations with Rav Vai, I might add).

Hmm. I don't know if anyone ever tried to one-up the OP. I just noticed his post now (ended up on the first page by accident), and I had an order in 2018 that did one better: Newegg just had launched direct shipping to Israel. Tracking (I checked, I can't pull it up now) showed it arrive in Tel Aviv after briefly showing up in Paris. Then it LEFT Tel Aviv and showed (over two days) Rome, Germany and somewhere in Belgium (don't remember). Then it came back as if nothing had happened. I got no explanation from Newegg, except two days after it had arrived (sat in customs for a week too), they sent me a coupon for 150 shekel off an order of 250. I didn't use it because they asked for 200 shekel at the time for shipping and it expired in a month.
