The Sydney Opera house is a the most famous opera house in the world. If anyone went to Sydney and didn't visit it they'd be crazy. Teatro Colon in BsAs, Teatro Municipal in Rio, and Palais Garnier are a little less known.

Amazing TR!!

Thanks! I don't use any special camera, just a P&S. FWIW the pictures are a combination of my HTC M8 and a Canon PowerShot SX280 with a non-removable lens.

Others too

AWESOME! What a great read with great pics! Can't believe how fast you wrote it. Sheesh.

YES! Some people should follow your lead on fast TR's.  ::)

But in all honesty, it is tough and takes a lot of work. Even more impressed in what short of a time span you put this together. Sounds like a fun adventure you 2 had. Enjoyed it a lot.

Thanks! I've found the writing TRs on the way home is the only way I can guarantee it'll get done in a timely manner. That said I work on it basically non-stop for 5 hours, so it's a bit draining by the time it's done. I'm glad you enjoyed!

Dude, I don't know how you did this whole thing in 5 hours. It has taken me considerably longer by a factor of X to get even to where I am on my New Zealand one. The writing part isn't even the hard part; it's the reviewing, editing, uploading, and posting of the photos which are killer.

+1 And the further along the road it goes, the more time I have to spend remembering what happened. Yehoshua is just a machine.

The writing itself took 5 hours. I probably spent 3 hours choosing and captioning pictures, which took a lot longer. I uploaded the pictures overnight, so all I had to do was select which of the 1700+ images I wanted to share.  Plus, I had DW edit it, as she can find errors really quickly.  If don't include the uploading time and the editing time, it was all done in about 8 hours. With those two added in (and editing the monkey video), it took closer to 10 hours.

Another reason I do it on the plane is because that way I'm not distracted. No wifi on KL or AC (my longhaul last summer) so nothing to do besides watch things on the IFE or do a TR. Once I get home and have internet all bets are off.

I think the reason I'm able to get it done in that amount of time is because I write very concisely. I think you write a better story, which is a lot more fun to read (IMO), so that takes a lot longer to write. Plus, I don't try to come up with cliffhangers.  ;)

That's another reason I do it right away (and take a million pictures and save receipts): to refresh my recollection in case I forget things.

I don't intentionally write cliffhangers... they just come up AND give me an excuse to stop for the day :)

I, too, try to write on plane rides so I am not distracted.  Must... not... buy... wifi!!

Yup, we also take LOTS of pics, and one reason is because it'll help remind me of stuff to write.

Your TR's are only going to take longer if you start following SF's advice on what to do with all your pictures!  ::)

Lots of places in Paris are not Glatt, so you'll normally see more dairy places in people's TRs. Additionally, the dairy places are so good that it makes it easy to forget about meat.

Although we did go to 1 glatt place and 1 not glatt place and didn't get beef.

Great TR. By the way you didn't happen to notice any chalav yisrael signs in the dairy places in Paris ?
