No, the whole plan is to lose money to make artificially low prices so that people pay for membership and they can later in the game fulfill it themselves and raise prices. See WSJ article.
Take advantage while you can
The subsidies seem to be for concierge items, not the rest.
Once they have the items in stock, those products won't be losing them money even if they sell at the discounted price.
At least that's what's been said so far.
