What card is best to maximize grocery shopping without any limits of  cashback per year and that they dont make you nuts after you spend a few k?

How much are you spending already? From your wording, it sounds like amex blue cash preferred isn't an option.

TD is horrible. They locked my card after a large purchase and wouldn't tell me why or when it would be unlocked

amex evp teamed with freedom is good spot. gets u a combo 6k + 1.5k = 7.5k a year at 4.5/5 pts respectively (34.5k total).
this is  my aim till i find im maxing it out
