I got shut down by Wells Fargo. Not from this, but could potentially be related for some people.

What did you do that got you shut down?
Back in the day my first cc was the Wells Fargo College Cash back card, with a $700 limit. Even though it had a small limit, whenever there was a gas promotion, I would ms $500 gc's at my local Stop and Shop. If you submit a payment to your Wells Fargo cc from your Wells Fargo checking account, the credit becomes available immediately. Since that was the case, I would reuse my cc limit every day, buying another $500 gc. After a week or two of this, I was shutdown. The reason they gave was that when you deposit a check into your account, they don't get the money for several days. They just make it available early as a courtesy. Since I was continuously depositing checks and then using that money to pay off my cc (and spending that money right away) before they got the money, it was viewed as a risk.

So in short, don't use a Wells Fargo checking account as a way to get quicker access to your Wells Fargo cc cl, and don't consistently use money that you deposited from checks, before they get the money. This is probably one of the reasons why people around here advise not to bank where you ms.

No. Though I don't think it's fair that they give you access to the money early, and then shut you down for consistently using it right away, when they never told you there was anything wrong with it.

And with TD bank, even when paying from a TD account, it still takes two days to post.

True. I would assume most banks are like that, I was surprised that WF did that. Do you know what the case is with Chase, Citi, and BOFA?

Not that it is of any benefit anymore, but if you pay online from TD credit card site from TD account before 5 it will be available at midnight.

Was not the case for me. The fastest i was able to get it done was by processing a payment over the phone.

I could be mistaken, but I remembered being told by a rep that this was quickest way to clear funds. Anyway, this ship has sailed a long time ago.
