This thread is designated to help members find the best available rate for their car rental. As with all things if you don't want to help yourself others will not help you. It is always best that you do some research with each individual company before asking for help.

All companies have corporate discounts that lower standard internet rates here is a roundup of them.

Need help with rental car in DTW 07/02-07/04

I have a flight to Detroit for 3 days 07/02-07/04  and looking for a car
within $10/day like  here  https://www.paylesscar.com/specials/last-minute-deals.do

So far could not find anything even on Priceline.

just found on hotwire for 3 days they are charging  $21/day + tax , total $85 including all fees .
So it's twice more than i was planning to spend.
is it possible to find any better deals?

i meant $10 not including fees/taxes,  priceline is showing now $19 per day + fees.
Sorry , i thought i put it in the travel discussion thread. How can i move it there?

prceline just sent an email since i was not successful in my bidding yesterday with $10 per day,
they are offering now for $19 per day (~$79 for 3 days incl all fees) if i pay right away.
is it worth to do it now, or wait another day ?

Be careful with the USAA code, especially in NY.
They are sometimes very strict if you don't have USAA credentials and will cancel your reservation leaving you with an "on the spot" rate which is usually even more than the standard rate you would gotten originally.

Looking to rent a convertible in SFO for Jul 16 and return in MRY Jul 19. everyone says their 'sold out' except for hertz who wants like 170 a day +tax.

Any ideas?

What's the best option for a monthly rental starting as soon as possible. I would prefer Hertz, and class doesn't matter

Can someone help me with a one way rental from phoenix (PHX) to Las Vegas (LAS) from July 30 to Aug 6?
I just got the United club card, if that helps (with status with Avis etc.)
