much needed advice from all the master renters... looking to rent a car from HOU airport (houston hobby) from thursday-monday.
I usually get a really good rate from Hertz- but their prices are really high compared to kayak.com. Ive upgraded all my statuses from my platinum card on those few rental agencies (avis, national, hertz) and now i see cars on kayak.com for 16$ and 19$ as apposed to what hertz was offering (35$)... Which one do i go with in order to get some sort of upgrade or special treatment.. in need of TLC from car rental places... (dollar and thrifty are pricing the same 19$, another weird place calledadvantage is pricing 16$) any ideas are welcome..

the thing is, it will be sitiing in stamford ct for practically the whole duration

so maybe 2 one ways?
pick up in brooklyn or jfk on 24, return on the 25th in stamford
pickup in stamford on 28th and return same day in jfk

Looking to rent a car for 6/13 - 7/7 from LAX (or LA Downtown), I am 22, need to book CDW, etc. because I'm international.
I'm a Hertz Gold Member, and the deal I found is 1048$ pickup LAX for an economy car (Kia Rio or similar), including insurance and no underage fee. You think it's possible to find a better deal? (additional driver is free with Hertz, but I don't mind if there's only 1 driver allowed)

Cheapest I saw was $180 for a regular car, $347 for SUV couldn't find a convertible. Not sure I did everything right though and would like to confirm.

Here in Morristown they do.
I think regardless the person should rent under usaa via hertz.
