I made a reservation from jfk for a month with thrifty car rental, using AAA. (1) anbody know if there a good company? (2) I'm not a AAA member will they card me?

Thrifty was a Canadian rental company with a reputation as good (or bad) as any other rental company

If you don't pay for CD on your primary insurance, is there still a point in using the United card for a domestic rental. There's no question of your personal insurance paying.

Do any rental companies allow you to add an additional driver without requiring the additional driver to be present at the counter at pickup? We're flying to LA with some friends on the Delta glitch tickets, but we'll be arriving a few hours before our friends. It would definitely be helpful if we could use that time to pick up the car and do some shopping/drop stuff off at the hotel while we wait for them to arrive...

i called budget they said if you have a bcd code u dont need to be 25 you can 21 + with no fee ( i didn't go yet but i hope it works for me).
