A password enabled forum?
« on: July 23, 2015, 08:20:56 PM »
Dan says a lot that something that is posted on DDF is a key to publicity, why not just make a forum that will require a password so people should be more comfortable to post stuff.
What are your thoughts?

Meet every potential candidate in person before inviting and that is not 100% foolproof.

Take the trick it thread on FT. It was something that was posted for a very limited amount of time, and then removed so that it cant be googled for all eternity. And now it takes a lot of persistence and work to decipher. Not every casual n00b can abuse it. Something along those lines can help out a lot on this forum too so that tricks dont die instantly.

Every blogger out there knows about it. It is like FT talking about ice cream and no one could figure out it?

This would not work for a forum that has dozens of pages discussing the UPS method.
