Anyone know about the Hilton HHonors card?

I have an offer for it through AE, up to 62K points w/o much work.
Any advice or experience out there?

I am also looking for some feedback on the HHonors card, possibly to use as a secondary hotel rewards card to backup the SPG card. (some destinations might not have SPG properties or have Hilton properties that are superior)

Dan , you once promised (about 2 months ago) that you would address this card and show why spg is much better.
Some of us got this offer for 62,000 hilton points. Is it not worth it?

I know rooms are costing more than they used to after they devalued the program back in March.

Here is the current redemption chart:

I can get up to 62,500 with the amex card, and then another 25,000 with the Hhonors visa, and another 40,000 if i get the Hhonors surpass card from amex (annual fee of $75).

Total out of pocket would be $75 and Ill end up with 127,500 points, Complimentary Gold VIP status for the first year, and An annual Priority Pass membership (valued at $99)

Any thoughts on this?

if you go that route then use all the pts for 1 stay and as an AXON  (special deal for having the Amex HH CC) its either 125k or 145k for 4 nights I think its 125k up till and Including a Cat5 and 145k 6s+ there are some other deals where it will cost less per night for having booked x nights as well

+1 on the request for Dan's comparison.

Even if it's an inferior card, it might still be worth it to go for David's trifecta (with Steve's input on how to utilize the points).

another good reason is simply because *W isnt everywhere , cant tell you how many times I had to do an overnight by some European airport w/o a *W anywhere nearby. So I pulled out some of my HH pts and presto a free room, just make sure they dont expire on you.I dont know the terms but as long as you use the CC and get some pts coming in they wont expire.

Now just dont use teh CCs for everyday charges where you earn teh bare min in pts, some CCs will give more than 1 or 2 pts for certain purchases say cell phone, supermakts or gas. Use the SPG Amex for where you get the bare min in pts.

No reason not to churn it.
Should be fairly straightforward that it's not worth putting everyday spending on the card.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

VIP chart of pts needed for multiple nights  http://www.hilton.com/en/hi/hotels/search/hhonors/hhonors_hrr_code_matrix.jhtml;jsessionid=RXPPWGGV3QS3OCSGBJBOLYQ?showLinks=false

having the Amex HH CC gives you an elite level not sure which I think Silver which still entitles U to use this VIP chart. Spend $20k on it and youre Gold and Nuts as well,LoL

This offer is now available to the public, basically 50000 points for a small spend, if you stay you can get 12,500 more. I'm not familiar with hotel points, does it make sense to get the card and plan to stay at cat 1-2 hotels on east coast to get 5-6 nights? Just looking for cheap summer plans for family.
