Just when you're done make sure to empty the remaining contents. If it cools in there it'll seal the flask and you'll have a hard time prying it open.

I have the 40oz which was posted on DDMS a while ago. I you're not in a rush to get it, it may be worthwhile waiting around for a good deal. Though not too often, they do drop in price every now and then.

As far as deciding which size you want to get, it's really up to you. It'll depend on what types of hikes etc you want to use it for. It'll also very much depend on how much you're willing to shlep around with you. 40oz is  not small, but if you're walking around with barely anything else then that should be good. You may also want to factor in how often you'll have a chance to refill, and/or how many people will be drinking from it.

So size the only difference between all the different models?

I'd probably go with the smallest one; it would be for hot drinks while driving.

Apparently, color is also a determining factor of the price. ::)

But I would guess you should make sure it's large enough for the biggest coffee you ever plan on making. Also make sure the shape will fit into the cup holder in your car. (Tall and skinny vs lowfat)

Smart, thanks!

So the tops are all the same in the different models?

There is some kind of drinking straw https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DMIEZEO/?tag=cl03f-20 that Dan mentioned on DDMS more than once. I don't have it, so I cannot say how it works for hot beverages, though for cold it seems to be a good accessory.
