If you fill it with ice and water..how long will the ice stay without melting?
We bought one and ended up returning it as my husband said the ice melted in the car over the course of a few hours.
He didnt see the benefit over the contigo cups we had.

Am I missing something?

Got really annoyed at my Hydro Flask this Sunday. I had run out of water, but still had three inches of ice left. But the darn thing refused to melt >:(.

I was once on a mountain in the winter and running out of water. there's a hard balance on how much snow to add to your bottle, so that the snow melts.

Interesting, was $2 when I ordered.
Maybe call and ask why it went up?

I ordered one to try it out after reading all the feedback here, although i'm not sure i'll keep it as ideally i'd want something that fits into the coffee holder in my car,

also is it easy to lug this thing around?

mine fits in my cup holder. it's not the easiest to lug around if you're holding it. would be easiest to clip it onto a backpack or belt loop with a carabiner hook or similar
