when i travel, i don't always do gormet. for burgers and dogs it's more than adequate

I always buy something called dispoasable grill toppers, take along 9*13 pans and a bag of coal.
We make our own disposable grill that lasts for a long time.
We find its the easiest, cheapest & cleanest way to go.

I usually buy something like this at the nearest walmart near where I'm heading toivel the grate in a lake or something and chuck it when I'm done. It's much easier than shlepping.
(I can't find it, but they usually have a similar one for about $18 in the store, I can't seem to find it online right now)

You can also buy the above grill in Lowe's. If your going to the Catskills don't rely on buying a cheap grill there. They're usually sold out.

If the lake is from rainwater (not a sping) and there are any outflows of water it is possul because it is called zochalim. (Accepted consensus of the poskim)

You use a propane tank? Or just use it with coals?

Propane, it's about  $2 a tank and last (us) about 2-3 bbqs each

But you also have to cheshbon Kares for nidah vs. isur of tevilas keilim.
