If only everyone understands how hard it is to make a photobook. Just starting with choosing the pictures can turn anyone off.

I'm not sure what the general consensus are regarding how to go about picture choice, but I will share my (meager) experience. The first time I tried to put together a book I uploaded
all the pictures I had of the event and tried to choose the best ones in shutterfly's website. To say the least, I did not end up finishing that book...
The next time I came around to it I created a separate folder on my computer, reviewed all my pictures in the original folder and transferred the ones I liked to the new folder. Once I was done with my selection I just uploaded the entire new folder to shutterfly, and voila!
One of the most beneficial parts I found with this is the zoom and pan that's easier in my computer than online. At that stage I also doctored any images I felt needed the tweaks, and only transferred the final version.
