Wizzair Master Thread
« on: August 02, 2015, 04:26:37 PM »
Don't know if there's a need for such a thread, but just in case...

Does Wizzair allow cancellation within 24 hours? I'm assuming not, but just want to double check.

There is a thread, and IIRC they don't.

No popular thread found this

But this one is popular (not specific to wizz)

wizz air is changing their carry on policy again - compared to ryanair

from Nov. 1 only small bags will be allowed on board for free & they are adding an option for a 10 KG checked bag for 52 ILS if purchased at time of booking.

Leaving TLV what terminal does it leave from? Is it the same if I don't have bags to check?

Usually terminal 1, check your boarding pass.
No difference with or without bags.

no for anywhere, they don't care about the weight only the size.

ive flown wizz tens of times, and believe it or not im usually very happy with them
if u fly them with the mindset comparing them to regular airlines, u r gonna suffer
i fly them comparing them with a bus, and im not getting on the plane because i need a hotel to vacation in, or because i need someone to offer me a glass of coke with ice
i fly them because i want to get to my destination for cheap
they are much more on time than all the other airlines i know (maybe has to do with them being frugal about paying for parking time)
they get u there and back smoothly w/o loosing ur luggage (mainly because i usually dont send luggage with them)
in all the 40-50 times ive flown with them ive never had a cancelation, or anything more than a 1-2 hour delay
ive gotten to fly round trip tlv-europe with them more times than i can remember for $50-$60, a far cry from any regular airline, and ive gotten away with less than that quite a few times as well.
add in that they fly to many small airports that u cannot get to directly with all the big fancy airlines that give u a glass of coke with ice, and that in plenty of those small airports, u can come 45 minutes before flight time comfortably, and from the amount of time the plane hits ground until the time u are driving ur rental car can be less than 20 minutes, and u get a winning combination

I checked in online for a flight on wizz air and they issued me a boarding card which says that i have to go to the counter to get a boarding pass... There are no visa or covid restrictions at my destination so whats the point of this?

There isn't any point. I think they haven't caught up or been able to differentiate between destinations.

Does Wizz have a set price for checked baagage? It seems like they charge differently on each flight even on the same route which makes them unpredictable in what the trip would actually cost...
PM me for airline compensation help. Your case is not lost!

What you see is true.
No set price.
Starts lower and goes up as more bags get booked and the flight date gets closer.

Yes. Extremely easy to file a claim and quicker payout than full service airlines.
The EU compensation eligibility is automatically updated in their claims system. Just login to make a claim with your booking reference, submit your bank details and you’re good to go.
