So far I've tried to access the lounges in Switzerland with my platinum amex but thye all said that you need the Priorty Pass to get in. Incidently the latin Americas amex platinum does give you free membership with Priorty pass but not USA. In Toronto though they would allow me to acces the American Express Lounge

AMEX Plat gets you into AA, CO, DL, US, and AMEX branded lounges.

When you mention each airline, does it go for their partner airlines as well? Will Amex Platinum get you into a KLM lounge in Amsterdam since it is a partner with Delta?

I know that in Brazil there are many that I was able to use.
I think Mexico also has some. Not sure about elsewhere.

I'll be flying to Milan with Iberia on AA metal. Will I be able to get into the AA lounge with that ticket?

Was your card a US issued Amex Plat? According to AMEX's Canadian website, the platinum card gives you access to lounges operated in Plaza Premium Lounges as well as other lounges found in most major canadian airports. This link provides more details

My BP is totally AA, so looking like I'll be getting in at JFK without a problem.

Can anyone recommend a decent priced lounge in terminal 1 of Malpensa MXP? I don't mind paying the fee as I'll probably really want the lounge (I'm assuming my amex plat does not get me in at MXP based on the Plat website). Flying in a few hours...

Are you sure this is also for US platinum cards or just Canadian?
I landed in Pearson so I asked the information if I can access the lounges with my platinum and he answered that I would be able to access the American Express lounge when I fly from Pearson as it is located after by the gates...
Also I tried to use it in JFK but was unsuccessful. First I tried all the lounges in Terminal 4 like Oasis Lounge, Virgin lounge etc but they didn't recognize it. Then i tried Delta lounge in Terminal 3 but the lounges were AFTER security as opposed to terminal 4 which they were before security. As I wasnt flying Delta that didn't really work out either. I asked information and they said that that there is no US Airway lounge in JFK .
Dan, does that mean that if your not flying the airlines you mentioned that its impossible to acces any lounges in JFK? How about Newark?

I just used the lounge in FOR in Fortaleza, Brazil. Also used at EZE and GRU, but those are already mentioned.

This has been answered numerous times. You need a boarding pass from that airline for all lounges except us airways lounges and Amex branded lounges
