Prioritypass. Or a lounge club card gets you in to a lounge there as well.

Yes

How difficult is it to cancel a refundable AA ticket after you already have the boarding pass, can it be done within the app, or at least online?

I would like to use a lounge for my family ( husband , wife , 4 kids - 2 of whom are adults) in DUS (dusseldorf, germany).

I have the Ink (and an authorized user) and a platinum card.

I just applied for the lounge pass from Ink (but not for the authorized user).

Does the amex platinum get me into a lounge in DUS?  Will it work for  my whole family? With or without the $27 fee per person?

Make them all AUs on the Plat card, then order for each of them a separate PP card, so you won't have to pay the $27 guest fee.

Doesn't it cost to make AUs on the plat?

Correct, so either cancel within 60 days of the fee being charged, or get a fee waived plat (as I do).

Wouldn't it be worth it to simply buy a PP and save the platinum for the bonuses?

Something new?  Haven't really been keeping tabs on it lately.
