The same way Plat ≠ Global Entry. Just because you get something for free for having the Plat, it doesn't make it a part of the Plat card itself. After all, much like GE, you can purchase PP separately. The Plat just happens to get it for you for free.

As opposed to entering the AA lounge with the Plat card, where the actual physical card gets you in.

Cancelled Plat does NOT work at amex OWN lounges....eg. @ LAS

No Amex plat works for UA Club.

Use club passes.

I am returning from Israel to New York and stopping in Amsterdam. I have an active platinum card, so I thought I would be allowed into the lounges. However, after reading this thread, it seems that I will not be allowed in the lounge.

Can someone please recommend a cheap alternative in order to avoid paying the 75 Euro Fee (approx) to enter the lounge ?
