Based on the reports that a cancelled (but not expired) Plat card can only get one person into a Delta lounge, I assume the same holds true of an active card, that it can only get one person in? Correct?

I have amex platinum (priority pass) what are the nicest lounges I can get into in JFK, Newark and LAX?

Also do I need to be travelling the day I want to visit lounge or will they let me in even without boarding pass?
