Yes
A gold or green card that was upgraded to plat will get you in even if you don't have the upgraded card yet

Tried and was denied entry. I told them that it must be a mistake, they ended up letting me in but told me to have it resolved before I visit again. Bottom line, don't count on it

As per amex, GC and upgrades don't count towards TC so I'm not too quick to just believe what they say until it's tried and proven.
