Ewr to chicago cancelled. What to do

Hi due to weather in chicago american airlines cancelled their flights to chicago tonight.
What are options?  This was a ticket booked with british airways miles.
Can they book another airline?  Agent saw it was BA and said she couldnt
They booked me for tomorrow night. Trip was only 2 days would make it one
Any ideas?  Luckily never had this. Should i just go home?

They can book you on another airline. Ask for supervisor.

United didn't have availability. She wouldn't do southwest they don't have agreement with them
Wouldn't do American Airlines out of white plains HPN she said it was a diff route. Heading home. Figure it out from there. I think tomorrow's weather will be worse

What a jerk. Next time HUCA. For gods sack I can not figure out why airline reps are #1 in the industry when it comes to rank reps who try as much as they could to be not helpful.

So I can stick with the day delay. Question. I booked with Avios as one way segments.
If I try to change the date it says 55 per person. Can't cancel online
Best way to get them to move the return flight out one day due to cancellation and postponement of the originating ticket. American can't change it. Have to talk to BA. They open in the morning. If they cancel the ticket will it be 5.60 per person or think they might waive it!

Make sure to ask for compensation, I got a voucher yesterday for a canceled flight

What kind of voucher?  Was your ticket an awards flight too?
American was quite stinky when they saw I booked on

Was there Saver availability on the extended return? I'm guessing there was.

yes, same saver availability available to me.  Same exact flight one day later.
