I've always wanted to invent something and have my own patent since I was a really little kid, for that amount I would probably do it even if the economics to manufacture and sell it didn't make sense

If you have the potential of selling it, you may want to hold off on a patent until you're ready to produce (if no one else will think of it), because once you file, the clock on the patent starts ticking. Ie. you don't wait 10 years to produce and only have 10 years before patent expires.

Also want to note - that "patents" are not necessarily so sexy, I have seen patents on the most pointless and ugliest inventions.

a dip dispenser, hook on to it a bucket of mayonnaise (commercial that doesn't need refrigeration), insert a packet of your favorite dip and enjoy,
most dips are mayonnaise based, of course you're still gonna need to buy avocados, tomatoes, tahini and chumus, but it covers most other dips

I’m thinking to sell Yaknehaz candles this year from Ner  Mitzvah, and put my own sticker with a heimishe brand (Hadar/Glicks) on the package, say it’s Kosher L’pesach and charge double!
