-1. Some have an issue with that halachically. It is not reading off the klaf. It differs from glasses as glasses are batul to your eyes, while this is batul to the sefer Torah, which is a halachic problem.

My proposed invention does not put any hefsek between your eyes and the klaf. It only projects symbols on the blank parts.

ive never seen the tshuva inside, but from the way the TY brings it down, it doesnt seem that the issue is if u are makpid or not

That is not practical. But making something that tracks the movement of the sefer Torah and recognizes letters (which there is already tons of OCR software for) is a little more doable.

But if you cant use it on Shabbos and YT, it has (little to) no value. The plastic transparency would not be botol to the Sefer. It would be one transparency per amud or parasha, and inserted and removed each time you lained.

Not a billion dollar idea, but I think a viable business. We need an Instacart-type delivery of seforim and Judaica. It can be an independent service that is connected to a local retailer, and they deliver till late at night within an hour or two.

I would use it all the time, even with a delivery fee, and I'm sure in today's Shipt/Prime/Instacart society, it would get a decent stream of orders in big frum areas.

It came up a few times over the last few months. For me, it related to specific seforim that I needed at night, when I was learning a certain sugya.

The seforim I needed are not available there.

I'll give just two examples of seforim I would've ordered recently:
-A mishnayos Si'yatta Dishmaya on the mesechta that my son is learning, after getting really stuck on a great question he had during homework
-A newish "cheating" sefer on kodshim when I was stuck on something during night seder.

Again, it may not be a booming business right away (though it probably is a growing market us people get more used to instant delivery), but it has very little out-of-pocket expenses (if you partner with an existing store). Probably the biggest expense is letting people know the service exists.

And why not drive over to the seforim store if it's so urgent? Busy seforim stores close late, at least in my area.
