Searching NKVD ( Former KGB) files

Does anyone know of someone who was able to retrieve NKVD records during the Holocaust? Particularly in Tashkent?

Interesting question, I’m curious on what you find. I’m looking for anything specific, on anything at all, but still sounds interesting.

i recently had someone search those files to find a relatives exit record, the reply was that he had never left.
i guess he is still there ;)
