Pretty much everything in north area was closed on and off so was better that I didnt this time, but next time...also SPG points is not as amazing as free nights from Hyatt cards  ::)

I went in April, though I assume you're asking about the guys who had problems with the weather.

What rooms did you have at GHK and FOTBI?

I stayed at both and got ocean front suites. Rooms were awesome.

Oceanfront room at ghk and oceanview at Fairmont...views were great...I saw the suites in both, could have used my upgrade at Fairmont but didn't make sense for this trip. Suites were decorated the same as the rooms, nicer at GHK for sure but I just thought the decor is just a bit older looking, like they could use an update. Again, was nice, but I expected more, need to lower my expectations :)

If you are looking for luxury rooms, you were at the wrong hotels on both islands.

You mentioned SRP, what big island hotel is more luxurious? Any Kauai besides SRP? If I make the trip to Maui what are the options there? It was totally more than fine, wasn't unhappy but my whole life I've traveled in coach but stayed in luxury hotels, so it's just what I'm used to when it comes to hotels. The hotel grounds are more important to me for places like Hawaii and both hotels were very nice in that regard.
