London/Paris in the Winter - Suggestions?

My wife is traveling to London for work so naturally I'm tagging along for a long weekend (20k off-peak AA award in coach).  She's going sometime in December so we'll have the full time of a Friday-Sunday and up to afternoon departure on Monday.  It could be either the weekend of the 5th or the 13th of December. 

We've both been to London a few times and we've seen the "must see" type sites.   We've never been there as the mature/travel savvy/adventurous/financially stable adults that were are now. 

We've been to Paris once for a few days and we've seen the "must see" type sites there as well.

We do need to return to London to depart on Monday due to her company's paying for the flight and not wanting to pay the difference for any open jaws/one ways I found. 
 
Does anyone have any suggestions of what we should do?

I should say, we're open to spending all or part of the four days/three nights elsewhere, London and Paris are just the beginning of my considerations.

Absolutely. Use BA miles & fly into ZRH for some alps breathing & relaxation thats what I would do.

You may also concider Venice or Gibraltar - which has a direct flight from London
