I thought that opening a board to discuss epilepsy related topics can help benefit those whp are personally dealing with epilepsy or with caregivers who are taking care of those with epilepsy. Medical References, Dr's, and treatments can be shared with the hope that someone can benefit.
I am personally dealing with my (almost) 4 year old son who was diagnosed with myclonic epilepsy about 10 months ago.
We are currently seeing Dr Shirley fisch in Monmouth medical. She and her staff have been great! However, it has been almost 10 months and 4 different medications and we still do not have full seizure control. We are going for a second option with Dr Shlomo shinnar in Montefiore medical
in a couple of weeks.
