Jeez, I'm doing it asap then. What will they ask when I call and tell them about referring two guys. Can I say I referred 4 guys.

they'll prob tell you the promo was over in February, tell them they never told u about it , you've referred so many people you cant even count and that you give them so much business its only right! don't let them tell you no , let them file a investigation if they want those usually come out in your favor

amex for the referrals i was just on the phone with starwoods though and the rep gave me 1000 points b/c he said "im a cool guy"

Dang, you guys all have better luck.
I called up SPG and they just transferred me, and then AMEX said there's no current promotion, but I got her to agree that if I found the source for it, she'd help me receive credit for my referrals in that time period (dad, wife). Anyone have a link to the original source?

I just got my Starwood card, so I called up AMEX to find out the details for the 15,000 point bonus for spending $15,000.

The Rep told me that the offer was that if I spend $1,500 then i'll get 5,000 Starwood points! When I asked her how come it says on the application page otherwise she just said something like "that's what the offer is".

I called again and the second rep told me the same thing!

What is going on here? There is no mention of this anywhere on the application page? (this actually works out better for me, because I wouldn't have spent $15,000...).
