How many aus to add w/o raising red flag
« on: August 27, 2015, 12:53:00 PM »
Since there is no general consensus on this, I think if people were to post the max number of aus they have added on any one card it can help us determine a ballpark figure. Please post highest amount and whether it is personal or biz. Also, if anyone was f/r'ed as a result or partly because of this please include that.

None. Except possibly the first few before I knew any better before that became an issue

The amex algorithm is a complex equation that you wont figure out. That's it.
You can have someone add 99 users to each of his 6 cards and no one says boo, and someone else can add 20 total and get shut down.

Over the phone. But anyway you don't necessarily need online accounts

True but by putting together bits and pieces we can figure some of it out. Besides, certain things can make it a lot more likely to raise red flags (ie - a large purchase on a new card).

Rarely is adding too many au's alone mentioned in the FR thread as a trigger. It's usually something else that caused it.

So what's this about? Is that specific to 99 cards?

"Q: How many secondary cards can I have?
A: Officially up to 99, but trying to add 99 cards to your account is a red flag and can trigger a financial review where you must submit your tax returns or else your accounts will be shut down.  Some people have been shut down adding fake names as secondary users on their account."

Maybe people aren't doing near that amount on 1 account. (Or they're embarrassed to admit it in the FR thread :) )

So how would you get Amex Checkout or Amex Offers that are not tweetable?

Some reps will set up an account even without ssn. YMMV

You won't figure this one out because.....

Life is as good as you make it...

I don't think people are going to be posting what they have. Not sure there is any real amount that can trigger F/R as mentioned.

+(99 X number of accounts).  This is like the RP thread. Stupid idea to post actual numbers. Perhaps an anonymous poll might get some answers....

Yes.
So no need to worry about adding SSN and DOB just to activate?
