So what do y'all think of Project Makom?

It looks like they try to take chassidim that are questioning or leaving and provide a safety net within modern orthodoxy instead of atheism like Footsteps.

Sorry, Torah and mitzvos are for everyone. Period, end of sentence.
Now that is being 100% open minded.  :)

No, it's being "closed minded" about something I should be "closed minded" about. Nowhere in our Torah does god command us to be open minded. Everywhere in our Torah God commands us that we must keep the mitzvos.

I understand that is your view and 100% entitled to it. Just stop all this BS about open and closed minded.

Ok, I thought everybody would sense sarcasm there.
I'm sorry.
Anybody that knows where I stand on issues would definitely know I was being sarcastic.

One point that wasn't discussed here. There is something called Kol Yisroel Areivim Ze L'ze. We have a responsibility for a fellow Jew. That means spirituality as well.

While I'm not saying that everyone should start approaching every nonreligious Jew on the street, but to help someone leave the fold is a transgression.

100% true. Every Jew is obligated to ensure that every other Jew is keeping the to the Torah. This is not some abstract philosophical idea but a practical one in Halacha used by almost everyone on a regular basis. When you make kiddush again for someone that didn't hear it, that's because since he didn't hear it, you share some of his obligation.

This din of arvus (as I've mentioned countless times) is crucial to the Torah's views of Jewish society and stands in extreme contrast with the modern western ideal of "live and let live" and "it's none of my business". Practical applications aside, the idea is untouchable-each Jew is responsible for the spirituality of all others.

One needs only to read the title of this thread to see how far gone we are, we no longer can clearly differentiate between our friends and foes. Scary!!

I guess it's inevitable in a "blurred lines" kinda world, we can't even clearly differentiate between male and female these days...

It's not grey.
Every jew has a "chiyuv" and responsibility to make sure other people follow the torah like Aj correctly pointed out here:

This din of arvus (as I've mentioned countless times) is crucial to the Torah's views of Jewish society and stands in extreme constant with the modern western ideal of "live and let live" and "it's none of my business). Practical applications aside, the idea is untouchable-each Jew is responsible for the spirituality of all others.
Great point and 100% correct.
It is mentioned in או"ח קצ'ז and more originally in קס'ז.
