Amazon is having problems keeping their stock holders happy (and thats their main way to make money) so if the keep on changing the way people do shopping it'll keep their stocks up probably. Thats probably why their doing this.

I find it's really hard to predict what new tech stuff will take off. I and many other thought smart watches and fitness band are a crazy idea, yet they seem to be gaining traction. If you try 20 products and one really sticks it likely was worth the investment in all of them. I credit them for trying new things.

BTW - What ever happened with the Echo?

They are working with company's to design products that will come with a button on the product to reorder accessories.
