And what about constitutional rights? She also said: “I’m not here to repeal the Second Amendment. I’m not here to take away your guns.” Uh-huh, and there was no classified information, and Nixon was not a crook.

The GOP is broken. A landslide loss in November, and there could be a legitimate threat of a new conservative party. *That* could shake up the gop enough to restructure into a more conservative, inclusive party. Yes, it would take years. More than 4, probably more than 8. But as long as the party remains Trumpist, they stand no chance.

But I agree, an actual viable third party? Not gonna happen, unless the dems have a breakaway progressive party.

Maybe he'll win because Hillary is so incredible weak, but the party isn't going to remain Trumpist.

Yes, it would take years. More than 4, probably more than 8. But as long as the party remains Trumpist, they stand no chance.

But I agree, an actual viable third party? Not gonna happen, unless the dems have a breakaway progressive party.

The one thing that HRC is guaranteed to put major efforts into, is making sure to curtail the possibility of anyone but the Ds winning national elections.

Repeal Citizens United but allow Union Bailouts and sweet deals (AA during WJC years, GM during BHO years) - Check

You are invited for a Cholent party every Erev Shabbos to experience it yourself. Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate and prefer a good Fleishig cholent, it's just that I rarely have meat from a שחיטה that I'm comfortable eating, which is why we have Pareve cholent.

A good story about what makes a good Fleishig cholent is that years ago one of my wife's friends asked her what's wrong with your husband, that friend apparently saw me at the butcher looking for meat for the cholent, and complaining that all the meat had no fat on it! I've put boneless Flanken (with as much fat as can be found), and have also enjoyed veal ribs with lots of fat in Cholent.

Why does the new party have to be conservative?

I would prefer a strong center party which offers common sense solutions to issues and is not beholden to any elitist ringleaders. In the same fashion a D president can work with a R congress and pass a somewhat blended agenda, you can have a party representing a mix of ideas within 1 standard deviation on either side of center.

Only a minority of R's love trump and I'm sure the bulk of the D's would happily divorce the socialist kooks who are hijacking their party as well.

I'd much rather support a party which agrees with me on 80% but get it done over one who agrees 110% but serves elitists and cronies.
