No one thinks that mentally unstable people should be walking around with guns, the issue is that the law was unconstitutional because it took away people's rights without due process.

Australia has had one attack in 1996, which claimed 35. Since they instituted strict gun control, they haven't had any.
Australia's population is  a bit less than Canada.

This is a very commonly used statistic, but it's really ludicrous. There was 1 attack ever, and you use the fact that there wasn't another one to prove that it must be because of gun control. It's not that there is a small sample size, there is no sample size.

What percentage are suicide? They should not be included in those numbers. Also how do victims of knife and blunt object attacks in gun controlled countries stack up vs the US.

The last mass shooting with 10+ victims in Canada happened in Montreal in 1989. It claimed 14 lives. Since that time, the USA has had 22 such events, claiming 444 victims.

This article reminded me of the other aspect, sick people won't spot killing because they can't get guns, they will use any method they can, especially car ramming attacks.
