Which I predict would backfire on them worse than the Clinton impeachment did on the Rs.

Either way I don't see how they would be able to do it since they would have a difficult time unless it is done immediately and they are unlikely to get the required numbers. It is also unlikely that the moderates would cooperate.

And they will never succeed. The chances that an FBI investigation will yield evidence that it accured are extremely small. Additionally that can't be done until 2020, and Trump may very well win again (yes that's definitely possible..) hard to believe that it will have universal approval from all the D's (and some R's to reach 67 votes)

Chances that the D's have 67 votes to remove a sitting SC justice, with a smoking gun from an FBI investigation over an incident from 39+ years ago that has no date and location is even more far fetched.

Bottom line if he gets nominated he's there to stay. The question is up until there.

More that I am seeing around. I did not see any of the hearings at this point so cannot speak for them at all. This is a very one sided list and many of them make sense considering the time span, but then the same time span could be affecting her memory of other aspects of the story as well.

She can't fly, but flies the world.
The whole world knew that SJC offered to go to her but she had no clue.
She remembers nothing about the night other than that it 100% was K
Only her counsel has seen therapist notes but WaPo reporter has read them.
Her friends werent told about letter but her friends leaked it.
She didn't want to talk to press but spoke to WaPo numerous times
Spoke to people on the beach about incident but didn't discuss with anyone other than therapist and husband
Because of the science she listed there can't be mistaken ID but she cannot remember any detail of the night other than that it was him

This.  I saw it live.  She loses all credibility with me.  She either knew about the offer and perjured herself or didn't which would indicate that she is being manipulated and is too is naive to realize it.

You are missing the point. Impeachment starts in the house. With the state of politics I don't see it as far fetched.

Now the ABA who the republicans call the "gold standard" is calling for an FBI investigation. Also the Dersh who some here constantly praise is calling for an investigation. He stated the obvious: “possible that one of them is deliberately lying. Right now, there is no way of knowing for certain, which is why the FBI needs to talk to the judge’s accusers and others.”

Here is the reason the FBI needs to investigate. Read another one of Judges letter for yourself.

We have told the Committee that I do not want to comment about these events publicly. As a recovering alcoholic and a cancer survivor, I have struggled with depression and anxiety. As a result, I avoid public speaking.
Brett Kavanaugh and I were friends in high school, but we have not spoken directly in several years. I do not recall the events described by Dr. Ford in her testimony before the US Senate Judiciary Committee today. I never saw Brett act in the manner Dr. Ford describes.

It's improbable that Kavanaugh didn't say SOMETHING to perjure himself. Does anyone really think he's never been blackout drunk? Does anyone believe his claim of saying "who won the game anyway" was because he wasn't watching, not because he wasn't referencing being too drunk to remember? Does anyone believe the "alumni" line in the yearbook was a sign of respect towards that woman and wasn't meant in a sexually explicit way?

Sure, maybe he didn't sexually assault anyone, but I believe he certainly perjured himself to keep his golden-boy portrayal intact.

I am not sure where the Rs call them the gold standard. Maybe when they can use that to benefit themselves. In general it is a VERY liberal organization.

Add to that the constantly changing versions of who and how many people were there.

It would make sense that she should have difficulty remembering all details of an event from 35 years ago, but that would lead to questioning the reliability of her certainty about who did it and even who was there.

I am all for them talking to these accusers. This even conforms to the way Grassley describes the FBI role. That does not equal a full investigation. End up depending on version one or version two.
