First of all, that's not at all the point of Erickson's post. And second of all, that 'real point' is incorrect too. What is 'her story' exactly that you think this fails to show?

My understanding of the background is that it was found that she listed herself as a racial minority in some law professor directory. HLS subsequently identified her as a woman of color for their own purposes (ie to show diversity). Brown claimed that she fabricated this heritage to gain advantage in the job market. She claimed that it was passed on to her as a fact of family lore that they had NA ancestry, that she identified herself that way to meet people of similar heritage, and that she never gained any career advantage from her claim. That last point was pretty emphatically proven by a recent in-depth investigation/review in the Boston Globe (which is where this whole thing started) - Ethnicity not a factor in Elizabeth Warren’s rise in law. And the first point is supported (if not 'proven', which is a murky concept in this context) by the DNA study.

I take no responsibility for Ericson.
Her story was that her parents needed to elope due to the NA blood. That is implausible with it having been maybe one numerous generations back.
