Thread summary:

Trump walks in a room.

1. Moshe123 shoots at him because he is pure evil, 2. ilherman+hachover jump in front of the bullets because Trump is our savior. 3. aygart tackles Moshe123 because Trump is better than HRC, 4. but Baruch can't stand Trump so he tells aygart he's crazy and Trump is a madman. 5. ExGingi would like to point out that who cares what he is, all that matters is the supreme court nominations. 6. Dan and others aren't really sure how this makes them feel plus they don't really want to drink poison. 7. Spoiler alert: Moshe123's gun was empty, it was just a blank.

And Freddie is in the back of the room just cooking his cholent. Until he announces that there are TWO menu choices, Pareve Cholent or Vegetable Lasagna. While etech0 figured out that they are both poisoned.

Repeat x100.

And then Hilary walks into the room with the most confidence a candidate has had in recent history. She is so confident that she eats both the Pareve Cholent and Vegetable Lasagna. Everyone is the room is aghast, they don't know how this happened, could it be Comey is behind this poisoning or was it that her Obamacare premiums were to high to get her the help she needed.

Everyone stared as she choked and was cast into oblivion on November, 8, 2016 the last day she was heard from in the public eye.

Moshe123, ilherman, hachover, Baruch, ExGingi, Dan, Freddie, etech0, and the rest of America are in total shock and hope that so long as Trump doesn't eat any Pareve Cholent and Vegetable Lasagna and stays true to his supreme court nominees this may be the greatest thing to happen since the CSR and GC's.

But remember this may be the beginning of the end...

P.S. Thanks to cognitive dissonance aygart, Michael Moore, and Scott Adams knew the whole time that Trump could win, unfortunately for JTZ he may be off DDF for the next 4 years due to his mandatory 3 times daily consumption of CROW!

As things turns out, the most prescient view on this election was that of Michael Moore! Though Scott Adams is also claiming a high view level of prescience.

Your question about Britain regarding "malchu b'kipah" has a very simple answer. Chazal say that they were "malchu b'kipah" and whatever that means (whether only the civilized world at the time, or literally the whole world) I was merely quoting current scientific knowledge on the subject. If it argues with chazal then it's wrong and if chazal meant something else than what the literal interpretation implies it is right. (As it is to say they meant he ruled over North America and Antarctica is unlikely so there's room for explaining that it means the whole civilized world. But that's for another time.)

And Trump is right in his disdain for the liberal media which is a bigger mockery of substance than he is. It's not for no reason he gets cheers when he digresses his disgust with them. If they were honest and at least a little impartial this guy's complaints would have merit. Given their constant skewering of Republicans he has every reason to distance himself from them.
Let's say, argument's sake, he has a chip on his shoulder (though I think a journalist who begrudges every public figure who refuses to give him time of day wouldn't endure too long), how are you refuting the  subject of the article? He said he began an earnest endeavor to get substantive policy positions out of Trump and came up empty. Do you think he's intentionally omitting policy statements that he has knowledge of from the Trump campaign?

Here's the thing, he DOESN'T distance himself from them, the guy is a media hog, they are giving him all the free press he could possibly ask for and then some, it's only when someone asks a real question that he gets rebuffed...

Let me be clear-I don't think Trump has very much substance. However, these attack journalists the media is infested with don't care about substance either. They also have super inflated egos and now these egotistic substance-less rabble rousers are meeting their match-an egotistic rabble rouser that beats them at their own game.

That's what I thought I read. If I'm factually wrong and that's the the case then I stand corrected.

Obama changed the electability standards. Since 2008, all the "professional" political analysts have been decimated.

Search Google for articles on "why Obama can't win 2008" and have a good laugh. The internet is flooded with articles from both right and left analysts on why Obama has no chance.

America is divided between the extreme right and extreme left. We are in times of unprecedented crisis both domestic and abroad. The right and the left both want extreme measures to deal with it and will do just about anything to get their way. The more radical you are, the more electable you are.

Pulled this from a website:

Oct. 27, 2006: "[Obama] should run in '08. He will lose in '08. And the loss will put him irrevocably on a path to the presidency." For him to win in '08 would require a "miracle." -- Charles Krauthammer

Dec. 17, 2006: "Barack Obama is not going to beat Hillary Clinton in a single Democratic primary. I'll predict that right now." -- William Kristol

Dec. 22, 2006: "Obama's shot at the top will be short lived.... Hillary Inc. will grind up and spit out any Democratic challenger that gets in its way." -- Joe Scarborough

Mar. 19, 2007: "The right knows Obama is unelectable except perhaps against Attila the Hun." -- Mark Penn

Sep. 24, 2007: "Sen. Obama cannot possibly believe, and doesn't even act as if he believes, that he can be elected president of the United States next year." -- Christopher Hitchens

Dec. 24, 2007: "A Bound Man: Why We Are Excited About Obama and Why He Can't Win." -- title of book by Shelby Steele

Jan. 26, 2008: "The 'could we beat Obama?' conversation is purely academic. It's over. The Clintons have defeated him already, because he is leaving South Carolina as 'the black candidate.' He won't win another state." -- Michael Graham, National Review

May 7, 2008: "[Obama] has shown he cannot get the votes Democrats need to win -- blue-collar, working class people. He can get effete snobs, he can get wealthy academics, he can get the young, and he can get the black vote, but Democrats do not win with that.... He will lose big." -- Rush Limbaugh

June 3, 2008: "Obama can't possibly be elected." -- Dick Morris

Aug. 4, 2008: "The Molten Core of Barack: Why Obama Can't Win." -- Alex Castellanos

Aug. 11, 2008: "As I wrote last December, '[t]he pundits can talk until they are blue in the face about Obama's charisma and eloquence and cross-racial appeal. The fact of the matter is that Obama has no chance of being elected president in 2008.' I am more convinced of this conclusion than ever." -- Steven M. Warshawsky, The American Thinker

Aug. 15, 2008: "Most people think Sen. Obama has this election in the bag, but in reality he stands very little chance of reaching the presidency because of the simple fact that he is far too liberal for America." -- Russ Duenow, Fredericksburg.com

Aug. 31, 2008: "Mr. Obama is doomed to defeat.... Mr. McCain will win - and win big - in November." -- Jeffrey Kuhner, The Washington Times

Sep. 22, 2008: "John McCain will win the presidential election, Kellyanne Conway, one of the country's most respected Republican pollsters, tells Newsmax." -- Ronald Kessler

Oct. 9, 2008: "I have received numerous emails from Republicans and Democrats alike, asking whether I still think Obama will lose the election. Yes, I do. But what about the polls, they ask? The polls show that Obama is winning. No, they don't, as I will explain." -- Steven M. Warshawsky

Oct. 25, 2008: "[T]here are real signs pointing to a McCain victory this year, whether or not the mainstream media wants to acknowledge them." -- Steven M. Warshawsky

Oct. 28, 2008: "The Seven Reasons McCain-Palin Are a Lock to Win." -- Dan Perrin

Nov. 2, 2008: Obama will win the popular vote but lose the election -- Fred Barnes

Nov. 3, 2008: "I think John McCain will win a squeaker over Barack Obama." -- Ed Morrissey

Nov. 3, 2008: "Throw out the polls. All of them.... The fact is that no pollster truly knows what is going on this election cycle, because this election is unlike any other in the nation's recent history.... The final Electoral Vote tally will be 275-263 for McCain." -- Mark Impomeni, Politics Daily

Nov. 3, 2008: "The media could be the real mid-wife of the November 4th victory by Senator McCain and Governor Palin." -- Dan Perrin

I would say that they were right in a way. The reason he became president was because Hillary is unelectable and McCain refused to campaign against him. With him as the only candidate he won. Romney also did not follow throughto win an election which was his.
