Topic Wiki

Thread summary:

Trump walks in a room.

1. Moshe123 shoots at him because he is pure evil, 2. ilherman+hachover jump in front of the bullets because Trump is our savior. 3. aygart tackles Moshe123 because Trump is better than HRC, 4. but Baruch can't stand Trump so he tells aygart he's crazy and Trump is a madman. 5. ExGingi would like to point out that who cares what he is, all that matters is the supreme court nominations. 6. Dan and others aren't really sure how this makes them feel plus they don't really want to drink poison. 7. Spoiler alert: Moshe123's gun was empty, it was just a blank.

And Freddie is in the back of the room just cooking his cholent. Until he announces that there are TWO menu choices, Pareve Cholent or Vegetable Lasagna. While etech0 figured out that they are both poisoned.

Repeat x100.

And then Hilary walks into the room with the most confidence a candidate has had in recent history. She is so confident that she eats both the Pareve Cholent and Vegetable Lasagna. Everyone is the room is aghast, they don't know how this happened, could it be Comey is behind this poisoning or was it that her Obamacare premiums were to high to get her the help she needed.

Everyone stared as she choked and was cast into oblivion on November, 8, 2016 the last day she was heard from in the public eye.

Moshe123, ilherman, hachover, Baruch, ExGingi, Dan, Freddie, etech0, and the rest of America are in total shock and hope that so long as Trump doesn't eat any Pareve Cholent and Vegetable Lasagna and stays true to his supreme court nominees this may be the greatest thing to happen since the CSR and GC's.

But remember this may be the beginning of the end...

P.S. Thanks to cognitive dissonance aygart, Michael Moore, and Scott Adams knew the whole time that Trump could win, unfortunately for JTZ he may be off DDF for the next 4 years due to his mandatory 3 times daily consumption of CROW!

As things turns out, the most prescient view on this election was that of Michael Moore! Though Scott Adams is also claiming a high view level of prescience.

Does that mean that Hillary earned my vote? Not really. But DJT not only "earned" that I should not vote for him but that I should actively vote to stop him, which practically speaking means a vote for HRC. (Add to that the fact that I live in a swing state, the responsibility is even more clear.)

Now for my question.

Did Hillary not "lose your vote"?

I'm asking honestly, not to offend/attack you in any way.

WOW!
+1
I would imagine that Catholics are similar to Jews in that some will and some won't. If you include Conservative and Reform Jews plenty will drive a car on Shabbos. The same probably goes for Catholics. The question is which group all these illegal aliens fall into. What percentage wait until they are married and/or only live with their spouse etc.

How many people here aren't either immigrants or descended from immigrants in the past 3 generations?
Not that it matters at all but I'm 4th generation from all sides
Isn't Kaine a Catholic?

I think your have some misconceptions about Catholics. I don't think they view their relationship with their religion like we view ours. Would you agree to drive your car on Shabbos just one time for $1,000,000,000? Would a Catholic do anything which is against his or her religion, just one time for $1,000,000,000 (or a lot less)?

I wouldn't start making fun of other's religions or religious beliefs. They certainly have what to say about yours.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Hillary could not lose my vote because she didn't have it to begin with. But as I said, Trump not only lost my vote, he earned that I should vote against him. A protest vote is not voting against him. Not voting at all is not voting against him. Only voting for HRC is voting against him.

To those who are asking when he lost my vote, I just want to clarify that if you want to debate whether or not I was legitimately turned off, it's not up for debate because it's not an objective fact, it's just my personal, subjective reaction. You don't have to have the same reaction.

But if you are sincerely asking, then I would say that it probably happened during the debates with these two sentences: "You'd be in jail," and "I'll keep you in suspense." Again, it's just my personal reaction, but I found that unacceptable and worthy of being actively voted against.
Regarding those 2 statements i think he's totally right. Don't you think if the government wasnt corrupt Hillary would be in jail?
He's not like your typical politician. A regular politician would say that he'll accept it, and if times comes and he feels he was wronged he would fight it at the time.

No one is making fun here. Not one bit. I have respect for religious people of other religions.

However, I have had conversations with non-jews, and I am quite certain that they 1. don't get the kind of relationship we have with our "religion" and 2. that they don't have that kind of relationship, or that in their religion there is no distinction and at a certain cost, a "small" transgression might be acceptable.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Pardon me if I'm wrong
But for the sake of mine i can not understand the people who say they can't vote for the lesser of the two evils i mean "someone" "will" win.
lets say you have to send your daughter to school and there are only two schools there you don't like both, but one more than the other, what would you do?    There is a saying what applys here i think: follow your brain your heart is stupid

Tzad ha'shoveh is that they're both certified narcissists, they'll both be disastrous, and they both aren't worthy of my swing state vote.

Read the following quote (to which I posted a link above, with some added emphasis):

Quote
My concern – and it is very real for me – is that no matter whom I choose, we will find ourselves in the same place in four years, with leadership that refuses to face the realities of basic economics. Except that by then we will have endured another recession, unemployment will be unacceptably high, and the economy will be recovering even more slowly than it has this time.

One presidential candidate has an almost 100% certainty of appointing the same sort of people to the Federal Reserve, who will give us more of the same medicine they have prescribed so far. I have no idea what the other candidate will do, other than that he has chosen a few economic advisors who will counsel him to do some things differently. Bluntly, many of those on his economic advisory team, while certainly brilliant and thoughtful businessmen, do not really understand the importance of those Federal Reserve appointees, nor do they understand the true consequences of monetary policy.

All that said, which candidate for president will be more likely to make the difficult political choices and compromises, with the very real prospect of thereby becoming a one-term president (since any significant compromise will anger their base)?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!
