Correct.  It's the first and perhaps only chance in your lifetime to elect someone who has a real clear motivation to improve life for the average american. If he can't pull it off, you haven't lost much. Don't kid yourself, the world ain't going under either way.

I didn't say he cares for us; I know he doesn't. (Potentially neither does Dan depending on the outcome of some deleted thread ). I said he's extremely motivated to improve life for the average Joe. He's the only guy in recent history who wasn't installed by party elites and stands to gain a lot of fame (something everyone agrees he loves) if he's successful.

You also need to consider the long term implications of this election. A Hillary victory will be a strong affirmation to the narrative that despite the painful battles, the power brokers and their media won the battle. This would definitely embolden them for a long time and prevent even a mentshliche candidate from running. A Trump win will leave all the elites with their foots in their mouths and the narrative for a long time will be that the governing class needs to pay attention to the average Joe or get thrown out by a popular revolution ex: Bernie/Donald.
